Since the successful partnerships of H&M with popular brands such as Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, Erdem, Kenzo, Balmain and Moschino, the annual collaboration of the brand has become an ever-more anticipated event on the fashion calendar and the designs from these collections – ever-more sought after. This year, however, the Swedish fashion brand exceeded the boldest expectations of all its fans, presenting us with a surprising encounter between fast fashion and couture in the face of not just anybody, but the Lord of the Tulle, Giambattista Valli!
The collaboration between the fashion giant, who has captivated many a girl heart, and H&M is called “Project Love” and we really don’t know what other name to give to this forthcoming multilayered féerie apart from “Love”.
The great news was officially announced just hours ago, during the gala event amfAR in Cannes, where Giambattista Valli and the creative advisor of H&M Ann-SofieJohanson walked down the red carpet together, accompanied by Kendall Jenner, Chris Lee (Li Yuchun), Chiara Ferragni, HER Bianca Brandolinid’Adda and Ross Lynch. The models, as expected, were dressed in splendid outfits from the pre-premiered limited collaboration and they transformed the red carpet into a fashion racing track.
From what we have seen, we are fascinated to say the least –sumptuous capsule dresses with the iconic silhouettes of the designer, which are worthy of princesses and will be definitely sold out for no time. And what is even better is that apart from the beauty and sophisticated style of the ladies, in this limited collection, Giambattista Valli has also paid special attention to gentlemen, making his first steps into the realm of men’s wear. This collaboration is simply writing fashion history…
But attracting Valli’s DNA is certainly not the end of H&M’s innovative solutions in this collaboration. For the first time, the fans of the brand will not need to wait for nearly half a year to get hold of some of the designs. The dresses and suits that we have already seen in Cannes will be available in some H&M stores worldwide and online immediately (well, fine, almost immediately). On the 25th of May, just 48 hours after the initial launch, the biggest admirers of the brand will have the opportunity to hang in their wardrobes one (or more) of these tulle clouds called dresses. Unfortunately, the physical stores that are going to offer the designs are very few, but the official date for the great debut of Giambattista Valli x H&M remains the 7th of November 2019. And we simply cannot wait to get our hands on this project full of tulle and love!
