The Max Mara coat is that garment that never gets old, but rather becomes little by little a treasure for the next generation, and even for the one after it. Just like a pair of diamond earrings or a painting that is passed on from mother to daughter. The brand’s collections always bring about that warm feeling of everlasting beauty and of traditions that are worth seeing season after season.
Heavenly silhouettes and caramel shades are the business card of the Italian fashion empire. It is a privilege to have them in your wardrobe and absolute pleasure to wear them. Tens of fashion houses are competing this season to adorn their collections in nude colours, but no one, and literally no one, can even get close to Max Mara’s palette – Milan’s special.
The creative team of the brand is more and more concentrated on sustainable fashion. The environment and its protection is finally becoming more regarded as an absolute value in the industry.
The inspiration behind the collection for the upcoming spring is coming from between the covers of the first translation of The Odyssey, a deed by a woman called Emily Wilson. Her rich and different point of view saturated the talented minds from Max Mara the with inspiration they manage to represent on the catwalk. And it is haunted by myths and legends, the prolific underwater world and the power of the Amazons. Unimaginable eclectics at first sight, but an incredible combination of muses when we look closer.
The looks entirely in white took us away in a fairy-tale that we do not want to tell, but to live. The three-part suits, covered generously in polka dots, were the naughty highlight of the show. While the leather trench coats became the must-have pieces we are aiming at. We have a feeling when a new trend is born!
And can we only mention Kaia Gerber, the young Cindy Crawford, dressed from head to toe in sunny yellow? She stole our breath away!
Milan Fashion Week should be proud of having Max Mara on its catwalk!
