TREND RADAR: THE MOUNTAIN GOES DOWN TO THE CITY

x

The temperatures are low enough and the only thing we want to do is stay home, be lazy and teleport ourselves to a particular place without having to cross all the icy parts of the city. But for all those people in love with the mountain, who are always chasing after forecasts, winds and snow – we have some good fashion news! Because this time the mountain goes down to you. There is one single rule: dress to impress in spite of the cold.

And who said that we can’t look cool in a sweater? Prada, Moncler and Missoni are just a part of the brands that paid attention to the mountain look on the catwalk. We count on wool, thick cardigans, down jackets, wide wool trousers, and tulle skirts, which seem to have been created for a soft white cashmere sweater. It’s as though the outfit is getting assembled on its own: the important thing is that we feel comfortable and warm, just like we would feel in front of a burning fireplace with a glass of wine.

The mountain look is a favourite for a lot of celebrities, including the genuine living inspiration – Miroslava Duma. She adores winter hats and oversized sweaters. The good thing about this trend is that it looks adequate in quite a lot of circumstances and situations as long as we have combined properly the different parts of our outfit. There is always the possibility of going too much into the mountain look… but, actually, why not? We can afford to do this on a Friday, when we just leave after work. No matter where as long as there is snow… and fire!
