Leave those knitted socks with snowflakes, cookies, snowmen and sledges in front of the fireplace. Hopefully, Santa gets the implication that we wouldn’t mind yet another little present.
For a few seasons now, both in the street and on the catwalk, we have been continuously following the very same particularly cute trend – a highlight on party socks. Pearls, embroidery, bling or any other type of embellishments – we put our thumbs up approvingly this winter as well. We even get enthusiastic about beautifying and enriching a seemingly casual pair ourselves. A torn pearl bracelet and some thread is all the equipment we need for this operation. Plan B remains going shopping for budget, or impossibly expensive, suggestions – our favourite brands have taken care of us so that we could have a choice within all price tag categories.
This trends winks at breaking away literally effortlessly from our otherwise so favourite classic styles – denim from head to toe, a warm cashmere sweater and skinny trousers, the fashionable-until-proved-differently pleated skirt in a combination with a fine wool turtleneck, nestled down under the seasonal uniform – a stylish overcoat.
