It seems like spring and the waking of nature are setting the trend of the green mania that has convincingly conquered the hearts of street style princesses. Monochrome uniforms in green or combinations of several of its fresh shades in one outfit have become an absolute trend on the verge of warmer months.
Extravagant shirts, pleated skirts and contrasting accessories are all a wonderful addition to the team of the expressive colour. Heels in violet or neon yellow, a clutch in candy pink – why not? A great touch of spice to any look that welcomes vivid colours. They seem to be stimulating our senses, waking them up for the new emotions that are peeking behind the spring horizon.
We dig deep not only into the wardrobe, but also into the symbolism of the green colour, because the different interpretations provoke our curiosity. In Japan, it is associated to eternal life, while it was considered royal by the ancient Aztec people, because it resembles the colour of the plumage of quetzal birds, which was used to adorn the ruling class. In China, the shades of jade symbolise virtue and beauty. In Portugal, green is connected with hope, and in Scotland – with honour. All its renditions suit it in their own unique way. Just like good taste suits it.
A coat in poison green is a must-have. We wear it with a lot of denim and lace in fatal red. Even additions in baby pink come forward in a shy, but fascinating way.
The more, the better. Winnie-the-Pooh is our close ally in such matters. Green flows from suits to accessories and refreshes the way we style our looks.
