ARCHITECTURAL STYLE AND BOTANICAL ELEMENTS IN DELPOZO PRE-FALL 2017

x

In case you have accidentally missed this collection by Delpozo, you should by all means take a look at it. You are definitely not going to regret it.

As we know quite well, the creative director of the fashion brand Josep Font is famous for his unusual style combinations. His collection for this autumn is inspired by the minimalistic lines of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and the complex botanical collages of 18th-century British artist Mary Delany.

We find the botanical details in the form of tree-shaped and leaf-shaped bows, and masterfully crafted wool flowers, which pop up on the handbags and the shoes. The colours vary between hot shades of pink, turquoise and orange to completely neutral tones: marine blue for the tops and ivory for the high-rise jackets.

The clothes from the collection remind us of fashionable armour for the contemporary lady: a shirt with low shoulders, combined with a corset, created from layers of silk tulle. The everyday, but elegant version includes colourful sweaters and wide-cut trousers with oversized cuffs.
